What Is A Fish Cage?

The fish farming cage, also known as an aquaculture net cage, is usually made from synthetic fibers and other high-strength materials woven into a mesh structure. They are designed with different mesh sizes to suit the needs of different fish species, allowing you to carry out large-scale farming within a controlled space.

HMPE fishing cage is made from high-performance UHMWPE fiber. Its main advantages include being lightweight, strong (maintaining high strength even in water), and highly resistant to corrosion and tearing.

Weight:The material properties of UHMWPE fibers are stronger, and the HMPE fishing net weighs only one-third of the PE fishing net. In contrast, the PE fishing net is heavier and not easy for you to handle.
Strength: The HMPE fishing net has a higher tensile strength than the PE fishing net. At the same weight, the HMPE net is 50% stronger than the PE net, allowing your net to better withstand attacks from other marine predators.
Flexibility: Due to the properties of its fibers, HMPE has better flexibility, allowing you for easier adjustment of the net’s shape and more flexible and convenient installation. In contrast, the PE fishing net is stiffer and lacks the flexibility of the HMPE fishing net.
Cost：Generally, the cost of a PE fishing net is much lower than HMPE fishing net. However, the durability and wear resistance of PE are far inferior to UHMWPE fibers, which means it requires you to replace and maintain it more frequently. In contrast, the HMPE fishing net has a lower replacement frequency, and in the long run, your cost is more advantageous than that of the PE fishing net.
Life Service: The lifespan of an HMPE fishing net is around 6 years, while the lifespan of a PE fishing net is only in 2.5 years. The HMPE fishing net give you a longer service life and a lower replacement frequency.
Range of Fishing Activity: The HMPE fishing net is suitable for your large-scale commercial aquaculture and deep-sea farming. In contrast, the PE fishing net is more suitable for your small-scale farming and use in controlled environments.

In contrast, the PE fishing net attracts more pollutants, limiting water flow and oxygen supply, which negatively impacts fish quality.
